Tonight's picture is of rain! I took this picture with my cell phone.I was trying to capture it raining plus the sun shining..When I showed this picture to some they thought I was standing inside and the rain was falling down the door. I said no, that's how hard it was raining..and I wanted to capture it!

Tonight's picture is of one of my newest plants called a fire bush....I saved this plant from Home Depots sale rack..I love to buy dieing plants and try to make them live! So far this one is a success!

Tonight's picture is a shout out to my Aunt Susan...this is my "donkey tail" that I got from your house last year when you were moving! As you remember when I picked up your plant all these little green pods fell off! I scooped them up in a paper towel and brought some home...well a year later and its growing strong...if I remember right you said this was from off Grannies plant...well I think she would be proud to know her plant is being passed on!

What is this you ask?? These are my brand new yellowbox flip flops ! I was watering the garden and thought I would slip them on to run out to and turn off the water...well The first step in the garden and I sunk in the mud up to my calf's! But no harm no foul , I was able to spray them off...guess they are broke in now!

It is at the car wash!! This is the "Pretty colors " the wax makes when you go through the car wash! Abbie and Sam beg all the time to go through it! I thought it looked neat!

Today's picture is of one of my sunflowers that has a big ole bee on it! My poor sunflowers are being bombarded by bees right now. Guess they love the taste of them!

Today's picture is of all the veggies I picked tonight from my garden...As always the week my husband is gone.. the tomatoes turn red!He loves tomatoes! I really don't like tomatoes but I can grow the heck out of them!

Today's picture is of one of my sunflower plants....this plant is from a seed that I planted last year...the seeds I planted last year flopped! So I was surprised this year that one came up.. well it finally bloomed and this was the first one. I have never seen a sunflower like this . I counted 15 blooms on one stalk ! It looks absolutely alien looking! But I will be saving my seeds from this and plant them again! And by the way it is at least 7 feet tall so I could not get a very good picture of it!

A girls horse....This horse has a special story..you see this horse follows me every where I go...and it likes to show up some of the strangest place... it likes to eat supper off my plate. This is no ordinary horse...its my daughter Abigails horse. She painted this horse a few years ago and  set it on her bookcase. The other day this horse started showing up...in the kitchen while I cooked , by my plate while I eat. So I decided to take a picture of Abigails Horse...because on day it will be thrown down and forgotten ...so I took a picture of Abigails horse, so no one will forget

Today's picture is of my MOST favorite day lily in my yard....it is a peach and purple old fashion Victorian lady...I bought one of these about 6 years ago..When we moved I dug it up and brought it with me..the only problem is It wont multiply! I would love to have bunches of these! Maybe if I keep trying I will get it to multiply!

The American Flag....Today's picture is of a flag my Dad put at the end of our road in celebration of Memorial Day. He is a very patriotic person. I don't know why this flag fascinated me today as we were headed to town. I tought "how very patriotic this little flag is" This little flag stands for so much, and is such a great reminder to us that we need to thank all the men and women who have fought for our freedom. Today's picture is of a sunflower. This flower is in my mothers garden. My youngest son, Sam planted a packet of sunflowers a few weeks ago. He was very proud that it grew and produced a flower!

The sunflower.....this is a picture of one of my sunflowers getting ready to bloom. I thought this was a neat picture. Its really hard sometimes to watch a flower open up. Most open up in a mater of minutes to hours. The sunflower takes around three to four days to open up fully. I will be patiently watching this sunflower to open up over the next few days!

Watermelons! This is a picture of a baby watermelon! My dad grows watermelons every year. They are very sweet. Personally I don't like watermelons. I don't eat them. Everyone else in my family loves them!

Todays Picture is of my sweet girl Abbie. Today was her 6th grade graduation. I had asked her to take a picture out by the sign since she was leaving to go to the Middle school. Day lily....this day lily is my absolute favorite day lily..it is called a blood day lily. It is a very dark purple color..but this afternoon the sun was right on it so it looks lighter than normal.

Today's picture is of my oldest son, Jake. Jake is 14 and 1/2 and going into the 9th grade. He is going through a stage called "Emo". I really don't like this stage he is going through. He likes to dress all in black, he wont eat, listens to this terrible music. He wants to dye his hair black and wants an earring. Come full circle ....I sound like my Mother......

Todays picture is of a purple Mexican Begonia. I love these flowers even though they are very unruly! Plant these in your beds and they will take it over! I dug these up from our old house when we moved a few years ago. Even though they are unruly, I love to plant these all over the place!

They are all in full bloom right now....so I guess for the next few days I will be posting all the different colors that are blooming...I love daylillies, they are one of my favorite flowers. This one is called a pineapple yellow.

Best Friends....This is my daughter Abbie and her best friend Cecily. They are both 12, both in 6th grade and have all their classes together. These two are like sisters! I think it is neat...your childhood best friends...those will be one of the strongest friendships you will ever have!

My picture today is of Squash! These squash were grown in my garden. This is the first batch we picked. I like squash...but not every day! Todays picture is of some bird eggs. I think the momma is a robin...she wont stay around long enough for me to figure it out. Anyways I recently got all my flowers out of the green house and this lil bird made herself a nest. I tried to shoo her away cause this nest is in one of my flowers! All we could see was 3 eggs. Hopefully they will hatch and no one bother them!

Day 46 in my Photo Blog Journey

 Todays picture is of a tree in our yard called a Catawba tree. And currently it is in bloom and it has Catawba Worms on it. Last year some one gave us a few worms and they stayed on the tree for a while then disappeared. Well about three weeks ago they all came back and are currently eating all the leaves on this tree. In a few weeks they will go under ground, lay eggs and die. In about two months their babies hatch, climb up the tree, eat the leaves,go underground and lay eggs. Its a nice repeat cycle all summer long!

Todays picture is of a frog! This poor frog was a play toy for my dog Skipper. After a few minutes Skipper got tired of playing with it. We took it and put it on top of the swing so Skipper could not get it. I am happy to say he is still alive and around.....
