Today's picture is of the sky...it was taking around 7 tonight. I thought it looked like the sky was painted. I love watching the sunset...such pretty colors!

Day 41 in my Photo Blog Journey

Today my picture is of a strawberry.This is my FIRST home grown strawberry!!!! I have grown a vegetable garden for years and thought I would try my hand with fruit. We have watched this berry grow for weeks. Then tonight when I go to water the plant I saw this red shiny berry! I did cut this into 5 pieces for my husband, three kids and myself to try it. It was very sweet and soft. This was my first strawberry right off the vine!

Todays picture is of one of our blueberry bushes. We have four of them and only two are loaded...I really don't like blueberries. I love to grow things! I grow things I don't like to eat and like to eat! My Dad says I have a natural green thumb...Guess I do!

Todays picture is of Blackberries! We have several mounds of these all over the place! Jason, the kids , and I had a ball picking and eating these tonight!

Today's picture is of an Oak leaf Hydrangea that has just started to bloom. I love this plant. They are so pretty to look at when in bloom. I will take another picture in a few days when it is in full bloom. They have such a creamy colored flower and the leaves are the perfect shape of a oak leaf. Have to say this is one of my favorite bushes!

 Today's picture is a sad picture for me...as most know we had some very bad weather come through last night. My long stemmed rose bush was a victim tot he wind last night. I have had this rose bush for about 5 years. It broke right down the middle. Below is what my rose bush looked like just 2 days ago! :(

Todays picture is of the first daylily to bloom in the yard! I think its a lil early. This one is called a " pineapple " I can not wait till the rest of them bloom. Daylillies are one of my favorite flowers!

Todays picture is of my daughter , Abbie. We went for a walk after supper through the woods and I was laughing at her cause she had wore this silly hat. She won it earlier today when she and Sam had went to the skating rink for  a birthday party. She thinks her hat is it! She made me laugh, so I told her she was my blog picture of the day! Love my Abigail!

Todays Picture is of a bloom of a bush called a "Bottle Brush" Plant. This plant blooms in April every year. I have only seen this plant in red. It is a very unique looking bush.

Todays picture is of two baby cows ...the one on the left is a Jersey milk cow and she is about a month old..the other is a Brahmma Bull calf..we arent sure yet what sex this one is..but its about two weeks old. They are fun to watch, they run and chase each other all over the field. We have just about got them to come up to us at the fence. The other picture is of the mom of the Brahmma bull calf.

Todays picture is of my daughter ,Abbie. It was taking today down at Biloxi Beach. The wind was blowing pretty bad. I thought it was neat the way her hair was whipping around.

Todays picture is of the railroad sign on the tracks that come thru town...Back at Christmas time We had the kids the xmas picture made here..I thought I would revisit this place with my new camera!

Todays picture is of a pine tree "Candle"...My husband and dad planted 500 of these pine trees. I think its neat when they "candle" .

I wasn't in the picture taking mood today ...but I did manage to take two or three today...This is a wild honeysuckle vine that is growing in the woods ....Jason and I were out for a walk and could smell it all over the place.

Kentucky Blue grass...funny name for this flower..Its not really a grass and its not blue , kinda purple if you ask me...I stopped one day on the side of the road three years ago and saw this flower growing wild. And as always I went and pulled up a piece! I now have four clumps of this grass in my flower beds.This is one of my favorite plants to grow.. it blooms from March till November.

 Today's picture is of one of my Iris'. This one is called a Queens Crown. This Iris was an original of my husbands grandmother...She recently passed away so its nice to see the flowers she has given us bloom!

Today's picture is of a little snake that was in the yard tonight. I about stepped on it! I am not sure what kind of snake this is. And no I didn't pick it, my husband was holding it. We did release it back into the woods!
